Contextual Research
Our client is a shop called "Belong Gaming Arena" located in Sutton. This shop is a fairly new shop, it is only about 2 months old, but the company has been operating since July 2016. The company offers any genre of game for the most hardcore players and support casual and beginner players. Also, the company helps you to compete with the country's best gamers. Their gaming can be hired for parties, and you can even experience new game titles.
Their website has a professional look with dark themes and vivid colours and is very user-friendly and easy to navigate.
I have researched two competitors within the area, and found "The Heart of Gaming" and "Limitless VR", which are located in Croydon, which is about 5 miles away from "Belong Gaming Arena". "Limitless VR" offers a different take on the market with Retro Games and VR (Virtual Reality). In contrast to "Limitless' and "Belong", "The Heart of Gaming" deals with console and computer gaming. Also "The Heart of Gaming" doesn't have a website whereas the other two do, it relies on Facebook to promote it's image. The pricing of the three companies varies with the cheapest being "Heart of Gaming", which is more for the casual gamer.

In addition to the Project Proposal, we had a telephone conversation with Tom, the manager of belong-
Thursday 28th November - Telephone call between the production team and Belong Gaming arena manager.
During the phone call, I asked the manager a couple of questions regarding the promotional video. We asked him 'can we definitely film at the gaming shop?' He responded by saying 'yes as I am the manager of the store, of course, it is fine.'
Then we asked if he would use the promotional video that we created and he responded by saying it is not up to him to decide as we already have a promotional team, but he said he would show them the video and see.
The last question we asked Dan was 'what would you like to see in the promotional video?' He responded with 'the E-sports side of gaming and the community, and showing that the staff is happy.' He suggested we came along to the E-sports tournament they are holding on Saturday 7th December.
